If you’re a consultant, a small business, an entrepreneur, or a service-based business owner—this is what it looks like when your digital systems actually work for you.
This week, I’m sharing a simple 3-part workflow to help you clear the noise and get more done—with less stress.
Why ADHD-Friendly Systems Work for Every Small Business Owner
You don’t need a diagnosis to feel overwhelmed.
If you're running a business solo, you're likely juggling sales, delivery, marketing, admin, and… life.
Modern work environments are full of digital noise:
- Notifications pinging non-stop on your phone and computer
- Emails piling up
- To-do lists scattered across apps
- And 27 open browser tabs you swear you’ll get back to
All of this overloads your executive function—the part of your brain responsible for focus, memory, and planning.
That’s why ADHD-friendly productivity systems are so powerful:
They're designed for brains that are easily distracted, overwhelmed, or juggling a lot—making them perfect for consultants, entrepreneurs, and small business owners.
These systems help reduce cognitive load, so you can see what matters and act on it—without burning out.
✅ The Simplify in 3 Framework: Built for Entrepreneurs & Consultants
Each week, I share 3 quick templates, GenAi prompts, tools or strategies to help you streamline your operations.
Here’s this week’s workflow trio—practical, repeatable, and totally free.
Template of the week: Small Business Daily flow
This free Google Sheet helps you plan your day based on impact, not just urgency.
It’s:
- Drop-downs + color-coded for visual clarity and less mental effort
- Designed to support ADHD brains and overwhelmed entrepreneurs
- Structured around what actually moves the needle, not just what’s loud or overdue
You can sort tasks by energy level, time of day, and true business value—so you start with what matters most.
GenAI Prompt: Copy + paste into chatGPT
“Act as a small business consultant. What are the top 3 daily tasks I should automate as a service provider using Google Workspace and Buffer?”
This simple prompt gives you instant ideas to streamline tasks like scheduling content, following up with clients, or tracking leads. You can personalize it by focusing on a specific area, like:
“What are the top 3 daily marketing tasks I should automate for my lead magnet using Google Workspace and Buffer?”
Feel free to swap in your favorite tools to match your current tech stack.
Buffer is an excellent tool for scheduling social media content across multiple platforms. I use it regularly and recommend it for platforms like LinkedIn, Google Business Profile, Twitter (X), or Bluesky. The free plan covers up to three social accounts and allows easy customization for each platform.
But when it comes to Facebook and Instagram, I strongly recommend publishing directly via Meta Business Suite instead of Buffer. Here’s why:
Publishing to Meta via Buffer Requires Looser Privacy Settings
To use Buffer for Facebook or Instagram, you must enable third-party access to your Meta accounts. This means adjusting your Privacy and Security settings to allow integrations that can:
- Manage your content
- Access your business pages or profiles
- Track data across apps and sites
While this setup is convenient, it can unintentionally expand the scope of Meta’s data collection and loosen your privacy controls.
If you prefer strong Privacy follow: this checklist
Clear the clutter in one move: Archive all emails older than 30 days unless they need a reply. No guilt, just a reset.
This helps you refocus on what’s urgent today—not what’s been lingering since last month.
Make it a recurring task by adding it to your calendar each month. After a few rounds, you might even spot patterns and set up rules or filters to automate it completely.
Why This Workflow Works (and Sticks)
This 3-part method is based on behavioral science and real-world testing with my clients:
- ✅ Visual templates reduce overwhelm and support working memory
- ✅ Prompts eliminate guesswork and unlock quick automations
- ✅ Small wins build confidence and create momentum
Whether you're a consultant, a small businesses, a coach, or an entrepreneur doing everything solo—these systems are designed to help you simplify operations without burnout.
